Acre Rigg

The area is home to Acre Rigg Infant School and Acre Rigg Academy. The estate’s position on the outskirts of Peterlee makes for easy access to the A19. Blackhall

Castle Eden

This rural village has its own golf club and cricket club as well as a pub and restaurants. Chapel Hill

Denehouse

Denehouse benefits from open green space and various local shops. There is a main bus route to the town centre and Dene House Primary School and Dene Community School are on the doorstep. Easington

Easington Colliery and Easington Village run together although they are separate settlements. Hesleden is a small rural village situated near to Blackhall and Castle Eden Dene National Countryside Park. Horden

In 2020 work should be completed on the proposed railway station in Horden, opening rail links to local residents and providing swift access to Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Seaham and further. Howletch
